Sonnie

Glenn Sonnie Wooden (American, b. 1994) is an artist, filmmaker, designer, and collector. For most of his life Sonnie has been preoccupied and bound by the notion of beauty. From the grotesque to the mundane. Sonnie is perpetually investigating, poking, questioning, and proding from the bifurcated subjective position of a Black working class man, and that of an upper class Black man. Who makes no judgement, but is a witness through a photojournalistic modality. He implicates himself, as much as his environment and subjects.
